To say that Dr. Brian saved our lives is putting it lightly. In addition, there were no words we can put in to writing that will convey the power and emotion we feel for the impact he has had on our family. We can only hope that after reading our story you can get a hint of how grateful we are for him and for his presence in our lives.
Our daughter Hannah began seeing Dr. Brian in July of 2008. At that point Hannah had gone from being a healthy happy toddler to being a very sick 5-year-old. She had been in and out of the hospital with sever pneumonias and was taking five different medications on any given day.
To understand how completely consuming this was to our life, you first must know how we began our journey into parenthood. We brought our kids into this world at home without medication or vaccinations, and we were intent on raising them naturally. Chiropractic was something we believed in, as a matter of fact, we were active patience of a chiropractor. That being said, this situation didn’t make sense to us.
When my sister-in-law suggested trying Dr. Brian, we fought her! He couldn’t possibly be any different than our current chiropractor who didn’t seem to make any difference in our situation. In addition, at that point in our lives we had run the Gamut of alternative healthcare using everything from chiropractic, to NAET, to Nikken magnets, to Dr. Mercola’s optimal health clinic. Nothing had changed, and we were tied to drug therapy to keep our Hannah breathing.
At the same time, we were desperate and couldn’t leave one stone unturned, so we tried again to reclaim our life. We called Dr. Brian.
To Say we were skeptical is an understatement. After all, we had thrown thousands of dollars, and all our faith down every avenue could find to no avail. From the start, Dr. Brian was understanding and determined to help us. He continually made time for Hannah with every cold and has been very sensitive to the anxieties of her mom 😊. He truly made it his mission to heal Hannah!
We are 1 year into Dr. Brian’s care, and we can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that Dr. Brian IS a “different” kind of chiropractor.
Hannah is completely off all medication!
We owe that to Dr. Brian and his method of Chiropractic. There isn’t any doubt in our minds that he is the reason. We have reclaimed our lives and are now back on the path we started when we chose to have kids.

I pinched my sciatic nerve and was in a lot of pain. My massage therapist had told me many times over to see a chiropractor even before this event. I was hunched over and barely able to walk for days. So, I finally made the decision to see a chiropractor. My journey started with Doctor Brian Henss and the care that Max living takes has changed my spine and health forever!

From Deborah Sexton when I first started coming to see Dr. Hooten I could not stand up for even 10 minutes without my back hurting. When I had to work at trade shows on my feet for eight hours at a time, it was unbearable.
From the very beginning, I felt Dr. Hooten sympathetic and supportive of me, which I don’t often find with doctors when they find out that I and an endurance runner. (I run races ranging from 50 to 100 miles) Despite the fact that I was probably making my condition worse by my long hours of running, Dr. Hooton was encouraging and positive that I could be helped through chiropractic treatment never told me I had to stop running. (Which other doctors had suggested.)
Today, I am nearly 100% pain free all the time. I run six days a week with no issues at all. I feel Dr. Hooten has done an excellent job diagnosing the cause of my pain and was able to correct it through the treatments, which started out three times a week and are now only twice a month.
He is always cheerful, friendly, and nice even when you don’t do the sit-ups, he told you to do.

Doctor Brian, I will use all that you give me, and I will spread the word. I have felt so radically different. I almost feel like I was walking around as a completely different person… like I had a personality disorder. Can nerve … cause personality differences in people? I feel calm and relaxed and like a different person! I suppose some of this is because of my closer walk with Christ, but it seems to all correlate.
My name is Garret Moore and I’ve been to see Dr. Hooten for the last couple of months. Since going, I’ve noticed that I feel stronger in soccer. I’ve had asthma ever since I was little, but recently my asthma is not bothering me as much. I also had a twitch in my neck and now it has all gone away. I believe that Dr. Hooten is helping me a lot!

Dr. Hooten exceeded my expectations! I have been coming for years and only after three months of adjustments I was able to get off my seizure medication and here I am in year two of adjustments and completely med free and seizure free! I waited a while to write my because I wanted to make sure I could review the entire experience. After getting adjusted and visiting the Hooten Healing Center for two months now I am extremely impressed with the level of care and service that is provide here.
My co-worker had been trying to get me to visit Dr. Hooten for some time and I just couldn’t wrap my mind around how getting adjusted would help my overall health but after hitting an all time low with how I felt I decided to give it a shot.
My first visit or two were absolutely overwhelming. I had never been to a chiropractor and Dr. Hooten was moving a mile a minute but he did explain everything thoroughly and how he could help me become overall healthy.
I really like how the scheduling is set up. They have specific office hours and you literally come whenever you can. There is never a long wait, I can get in and out including adjustments, vibrating plate and stretches within 20 mins.
Recently I have been having some new Heath problems and went to the doctor. I told Dr. Hooten about them and he jumped in and offered to review my blood work and what the doctor recommended. Since I’m trying to take a natural approach to my health he was able to provide advice on what I should do, he continues to check on me to see how doing.
I highly recommend visiting Dr. Hooten, he is way more then your traditional chiropractor. He really cares about each person’s overall health and is on a mission to heal as many people as possible, whether it’s from cancer, digestive issues, hormone issues or just back issues. I can’t say enough kind words, just stop by and check out the center.
Dr. Hooten and his staff were fine — Hooten seemed pretty knowledgable, gave me a good adjustment, and his staff was friendly enough. On my second visit (this afternoon), they sat me down and walked me through cost of treatment. They wanted me to sign something agreeing to pay them hundreds of dollars a month for a dozen visits, for two months.
The plan itself seemed fine, and the cost was reasonable enough, but when I asked for written terms of the agreement, they said they don’t do business that way. They told me they offer refunds if I wasn’t happy with the service, but wouldn’t provide anything in writing to corroborate that policy. They don’t allow individual visits; you’re either paying them a lump sum (with no terms) or you can go elsewhere.
It’s disheartening because again, I had a great initial adjustment. When I met with Hooten on my first visit, I lamented about healthcare being a for-profit business in this country, which he was quick to agree with. For us to have that conversation and then to come back the next visit and be asked to pay hundreds of dollars for a retained service without terms was really disappointing. I almost never write reviews but this really stuck with me and I wanted to share my experience.
Dr Hooten and the staff at Hooten Family Chiropractic Care are caring, knowledgeable, genuine and gifted in the care and treatment of the total body. Our whole family is receiving the true and proper care for the first time. Whatever health issue you or your family is struggling with, Dr Hooten can help. You can walk down the path of wholeness and health with some guidance from Dr Hooten and his staff.
After years of training hard, I was experiencing pain in many parts of my body. I had to give up running due to re-injuring myself time and time again. I stopped participating in things I enjoyed because I was in too much pain and felt older than my years. I thought I had to live with the pain until I visited a Maximized Living facility. Dr. Hooten has been my chiropractor since June of 2015. When I entered his office I was having difficulty raising my right leg, pushing the gas/break pedals, walking, sitting and I was in constant pain. He identified the areas of my spine that were compromised and we began chiropractic care within a couple of days of my initial visit. Within a week, I was experiencing 30% reduction in pain. My 3 year old daughter woke up screaming unable to move her neck, took her to Dr.Hooten for the very first time and wow finding this healing center was a miracle from God in itself! What was unknown to me, my daughter had suffered a head injury but the stiffness In her neck didn’t appear till days after! I’ve been going to see Dr. Hooten off and on for a couple of years. As I came back the second time around he asked that I promise not to forget to treat my neck. I’ve been going regularly ever since. It’s taken awhile but I’m finally seeing a great reduction in pain my my back and stiffness in my neck.
As an added bonus, I started taking trace minerals and found a wonderful side effect in reducing my chronic acid. Last week Dr. Hooten recommended the Max Greens as an addition to treating the acid and I’ve seen some progress. Fingers crossed that the acid reduction continues!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hooten’s for almost five years. I initially visted due to leg pain after a long distance drive. I was faithful to his recommended adjustment schedule. I now am adjusted twice monthly. I am over the age of 60, workout regularly, and am on no medications. I fell 10′ down while up on a ladder and never went to a doctor. Recovered on my own. 2 years later, I asked Dr. Perini to xray my back so that I can see what kind of damage I had done. Well, I had a crushed neck bone and crooked spine so we started treatment. After a month I was back to normal and plan on keeping my spine healthy we regular treatment. In short,I learned that most of our pains and sickness come from a misaligned spine, which sends signals to your body to repair itself. I wish I had known Dr. Hooten back in 1999 before I had my cervical spine fusion surgery. Before I met him a few years ago, I was getting 1st, 2nd and 3rd Opinions from surgeons to have a 2nd spine surgery because I was in so much neck pain. A good friend of mine had bugged me for a couple of years to go see this Dr. Hooten guy. He said, he is awesome! So I finally went with my daughter who was actually needing some help too so I just tagged along as moral support for her. Well, that was the BEST thing that I could have done for my body and my life! Dr. Hooten and his team has got me back to NO PAIN and with NO SURGERY. Heal the Spine and let your body heal itself.
